  • @~aloysius, nice thought, other than that, I believe this is where most League 1 and League to Clubs will move towards to ensure some stability and closeness to their fan base.

    Good luck to the Leeds fans to get fan-ownership to run their club properly and ensure their club is finally run on an even keel, and that they're not just mucking out the stables before the next chancer comes in. This will be a massive test with Leeds would be by far the biggest club in this country to undergo such a takeover.

  • @ReadingMarginalista Would you say that Leeds were "by far" bigger than Portsmouth? I think the interesting point here is that for both of these "big clubs" it ought to be possible to live within their means and still be successful on the pitch under a fan ownership model. Which would indeed be brilliant for bringing some sanity back to the game.

  • @oakwood Yes, Leeds despite languishing where they are are without doubt one of the biggest clubs in the country.
