COVID effect on cups

As number of identified cases increases, it is inevitable that players from more clubs are being tested positive.
At lower levels at least their clubs appear to be being forced to forfeit their FA Vase ties rather than simply postpone for a couple of weeks. I do t really understand why.
If the same policy applies in the FA Cup, it could be a very odd competition.
