Burnham v Northwood
Whyteleafe v Binfield
Frimley Green v Marlow

A few decent games there - let’s hope the weather stays good.

  • What was the last round? Pre qualifying?
Have Flackwell and Marlow always come in there or has there been a change?

  • Fair old drive to Hastings!

  • @Malone nornally there’s an extra prelim, a prelim and then the first qualifying round. Not sure if that’s the same this season.

  • The draw today is effectively for the 3rd round of matches in the FA Cup. It started with the Extra Preliminary Round, then last weekend we had the Preliminary Round. Now we move on to the 1st Qualifying Round. There are 4 qualifying rounds then the 1st Round Proper when the EFL League One & Two clubs come in.

The local clubs in our area in the Hellenic League tend to start at the very beginning while clubs like Chesham United come into the competition in the 1st Qualifying Round. Most National League (Conference) clubs come into the competition in the 4th Qualifying Round. So for a local team like Flackwell Heath or Holmer Green to play Wycombe in the FA Cup, they’d have to get through 8 matches first. Still, Marlow got through to the 3rd Round Proper to play Tottenham at White Hart Lane! That’s why the FA Cup is the greatest domestic cup competition in the world!!!

  • @A_Worboys Absolutely. And yet there will be Wycombe fans rooting for us to lose in the third round, so that we can have one or two fewer fixtures.

That is a really tough game for Chesham

  • Yes will be a real battle in front of a big crowd (I guess 1066)

Crowds still limited to 300 for Step 4 clubs, Chesham only have an allocation of 60 tickets. Given the long mid-week journey I doubt they will sell out though.

Two teams who where at the top of their divisions pre-lockdown so should be a good competitive game. Furthest stage Risborough have ever reached too, one of just six Step 6 sides still remaining.
