  • No chance it's scrapped.
    They obviously have to get it better, and also sort out a better rule around attackers and handballs.

    Someone laid out flat on the floor and a defender smashing it against them from 2cm should never be a handball.

    Otherwise every defender ever, has a nice easy way out in their own box.

  • I hit ammended and bettered as it's obvious that's where we are going for another few years atleast and it's worth a go. The joke is that it's original idea, var only to be used to present more info if a clear and obvious error is made seems to get further away as they play with rules like offside to make them more black and white.
    I think if you get to a point in 2 or 3 years where there isn't any greater trust in decisions and we are still debating both original decision and var decision each time there will be a good case to scrap it.
    Maybe a side effect of playing behind closed doors and all the player and officials being heard is that mic'ing up refs might be considered again.
