lol (explaining it ruins it for me haha)

  • Crusaders?

  • Wanderers? ( The reformed club named after the original)

  • Vtal has got all the correct answers but great gurssing

  • Athletic Football Club Bournemouth is longer than Queen of the South, no?

  • Inverness Caledonian Thistle was the long one, Queen of the South was the one that’s in the bible.

  • Inverness was not the correct answer though to be fair.

The correct answer to the question asked is

Clwb Pêl Droed Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch Football Club

    BCPDLK to be honest.

  • OK Dev - I'm going to bite.
BCPDLK? I suspect Basic and knowledge are the bookends, and the word league may be in there too but what the blazes are the middle initials?

  • Basic Clwb Pêl Droed Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch Knowledge of course.....

  • Yes, I knew that I would regret asking!

  • AFC is association not athletic I believe

  • According to Max Demin, its Athletic @LX1

  • It is indeed Athletic. They used to have the longest name in professional football when they were called Bournemouth and Boscombe Athletic (not United as I remembered) until they changed their name to AFC. This happened in 1972 which makes me feel very old.
Inverness hadn’t merged by then and weren’t in the professional leagues and had less letters anyway than the old Bournemouth name.
