Heaton is the best Wycombe keeper I’ve seen by some distance. Blackman, Fielding and Taylor probably in the next bracket. Ingram looked very good indeed at Sunderland.

Why did he do that????
It was by accident to be fair to him, but he sort of shrugged and got a bit annoyed at the autograph book. My mate was a mascot that day, so I think it was just a few minutes before KO and he was in a bit of a rush.
Fielding was a really good player and it is a shame we could not have hung onto Ingram for a bit longer than his cameo. I am sure he would still be happy to come back if he could...and we could afford it!

Pretty ridiculous to claim Paul Hyde, one of our finest ever keepers would be remembered just for that, and not his years of loyal service, massive uninterrupted run of games, loads of fine saves, and being one of the best characters in the days where the players were all like pals rather than functional workers.
Do you remember Steve Brown just for headbutting that Bournemouth wretch, Cousins for 2 footing that guy v Doncaster, Keith Scott for his woeful pen v Basingstoke, or Bloomfield for not kicking it out at Wembley?

I always believed he was appallingly treated by Smith.
But gently over the years, when reading the "other side" of the story I wonder whether Hyde himself might admit he'd acted a little hastily in asking to go on the transfer list.

The Dagenham keeper was the flying pig John Jacob's. He was almost as wide as he was tall. Wore really tight shiny short shorts, with pink chubby legs sticking out of them.
Not sure how anyone could even begin to imagine Hyde would be remembered for one single freak event. For me, only beaten by Taylor as our best keeper in the 40 years I've been watching Wycombe.

Couldn't agree me with this ! Taylor number 1 and Hyde number 2 for me.
Memory is a funny thing. Watching back clips of the past can sometimes change your mind though. Hydey conceded some poor goals, Bully conceded a lot of 25 yarders.
However, for permanent keepers, in my time, Taylor, and then Hyde it is for me. Ingram would probably get a shout out for 3rd
As per other earlier comments, Heaton would have to have a shout for best keeper to represent us in the last 25 years for sure.
That league cup team was a delight.
It was surprising to see the young Villa defender (whose name I forget!) pop up in non league a few years on, as he was one of those you look at and think we had no chance of keeping!

No complaints from me on Hyde, Taylor and Ingram as the top three on any order.
Tom Heaton was different quality and the best I've seen for us. I also enjoyed Ricardo Batista from the League Cup semi side.

Jamal Blackman better than Hyde and certainly better than Ingram in my opinion.
Talking permanent keepers only, I presume.
Chuck Moussadek put in quite a performance in the London fives.
We were making the distinction of permanent and loanees.
