  • Odd post. Unless Matt Ingram and Barry Richardson are both injured ("injuries"), it makes no sense. Alex Lynch went on loan to Wealdstone because of injury there so this could be the basis of misunderstanding. All will be revealed in about half an hour.

  • We'd recall him if just Matt was injured. So assuming the tweet is genuine expect to see Alex in goal this afternoon and hope it's a minor knock for Matt

  • Tweet was from Wealdstone official account

  • Bazz has knee injury from WW twitter , so that's the reason. Panic over.

  • Poor old Wealdstone had their keeper sent off on saturday and because they no longer had Lynch on the bench had to put an outfield player in goal

  • One of the main perils of the loan system. I think once a player goes on loan they can't be recalled for the first month under any circumstance. I also think sides shouldn't rely on loans as much as Wycombe did last season.

  • my one rule change would be that goalkeepers are not allowed on the subs bench. It's one of the best things in football when an outfield player goes in goal

Seems to happen all the time on Football Manager but less so in real life. Matt Harrold in goal last season was a classic.

  • Didn't we recall Lynch inside the first month?

  • yes, there is no restriction on when a goalkeeper can be recalled as its a specialised position.

  • You're the expert on goalkeeping loan rules, after all.

  • It's true, you can even hire new ones during the playoffs when the window is shut. Honest!

  • Read the rules !!!
