Sunderland relocation

Usually the club call to confirm my relocation when they need my seats in the Beechdean. Not a word so far, has anyone else been contacted yet?

Comments

  • Club emailed me a couple of weeks ago.

  • The club emailed me about my seat in the Beechdean last week, despite the fact that I don’t have a seat.

  • I thought it was just Nissan who could be relocating, not the whole town?

  • Once I heard the news I jumped the gun, rang up and got moved to where I wanted to move to. Crazy I know.

  • The sooner there is a moving your seat when big teams come app the better.

  • In all seriousness my own seat is available on Saturday as we’re away for the weekend. Front row and very good company on right and behind.

  • Which block are you in Micra?

I might tap on your shoulder one week ;)

Tell me about the people to your left. So many unanswered questions.

You're on cheery form today! I like this version of you!

You could even have said ‘I’m loving this version of you’.

  • Steady on son.

  • I hesitate to say it but I think most of those around me reckon I’m good for a larf even if it’s because I’m being stupid. Probably mostly for that reason on reflection. The person on my immediate left has special needs and is extremely difficult to communicate with. Beyond that person the row is mainly populated by non-STHs.
I’m in QA141 and would be delighted to get a tap on the shoulder! A good mate sits on my immediate right (always insists that it’s his round!), then a few randoms but most in the “away” half of the row behind know me well enough to join in my
    ‘sweet per goal’ arrangement.

  • Q G 145 for me ?. I sometimes wave to @micra in front.

  • Ooh, not the elites in the Q block... afraid I don't dare venture that far across.

Q stands for Quiet! There are also free sweets from @micra when we score and many of us now don't fit our seats!??

  • I often wave to @micra from the terrace but he never waves back.

He probably thinks you've just knocked a child to the ground to do it @LX1 .
He never throws any sweets to the Beechdean either...

  • Sometimes I wave a child at him tbf

  • Block Q eh @micra ? over in block R we are somewhat suspicious of block Q. They are more to the centre than we find comfortable. On the other hand they are more acceptable than the hard left in S. As for T - don’t get me started on that bunch of Maoists and unreconstructed Leninists.

  • Gasroom has flicked over to Tuesday now so all the comments that have brought a wry smile to my face no longer show time posted. Bit late now for snappy ripostes but suffice it to say that I’m loving the bants

I’ll give you and your good lady a cheery wave @ValleyWanderer when I take my seat at 2.55 on 2 November. (Missing my fourth home game on Saturday. Unprecedented.)

@LX1 as enjoyably quirky as ever. Typical political slant from @Manboobs. Keep ‘em coming please chaps.

  • @micra's sweets have yellow wrappers in a sign of Terrace solidarity.

    ‘Blushes’

@Malone you'll be very welcome to visit Q block although please note there is a strict no rif-raf rule plus jacket and tie dress policy. Please bring your new blue passport for ID purposes.

  • I’m afraid the wrappers were yellow with age @ValleyWanderer following a dearth of goals towards the end of last season. Upmarket ones this season (Morrisons finest) with shiny blue and yellow wrappers.

Hold on, how come they’re getting to row G ?!

I’m not sure Block S could be described as totally hard left. We’re an eclectic bunch, sure; disaffected poets, louche rakes, Waldorf- and Statler-alikes, wailing fishwives and aspiring coffin-dodgers. A couple of us may well dream of a socialist utopia and yes, we’re all pretty unacceptable, but deep down we’re just social climbers who can’t afford Block Q prices.

  • Sounds like I’m in the wrong block @Ned_Ludd. Maybe, if I’m spared, I could be the new kid in the block next season.

What’s that someone said? Prices are the across all blocks? Ah well.

  • “....are the same....”

  • We have no time for your pesky facts, @micra...

Feel free to join us; we don’t have sweets but we’ll let you play the ‘corners game’...

  • Oh, not that one. We argue about whether someone was offside “just inside our half”.
Seriously though, was that a corner or goal kick when Posh scored their second?
