FA Cup tomorrow (local sides)

Good luck to our local sides tomorrow in the FA Cup as the competition reaches the 1st Qualifying Round stage:

Chesham United v Fleet Town
St Ives Town v Berkhamsted
Chichester City v Chalfont St Peter
Sutton Athletic v Flackwell Heath

This is becoming financially important for clubs now too. The winners at this stage receive £4,500, losers £1,500.

Comments

  • Winners also guaranteed a minimum £2250 round 2 losers fee in addition.
    Huge money at this level.

  • That's a trek and a half for Berkhamsted !

  • @HolmerBlue - St Ive's Town are from the Cambridgeshire town not the Cornish.

  • Beaconsfield Town beat Sutton Common Rovers tonight to advance to the 2nd qualifying round.

  • Names are somewhat confusing - Sutton Common Rovers are near neighbours of Sutton United. Sutton Athletic are from near Dartford.

Ahh ! Not so bad after all then.. cheers for that

  • Friday’s result:

Sutton Common 1 Beaconsfield Town 3

    Saturday’s results:

    Burnham 2 Tiverton Town 3
Chesham United 4 Fleet Town 2
Chichester City 2 Chalfont St Peter 0
St Ives Town 2 Berkhamsted 1
Sutton Athletic 1 Flackwell Heath 1

    Sunday’s fixture:

    Aylesbury United v Walthamstow (3pm)
    (At Chesham United FC)

  • Tuesday’s replay at Wilks Park:

Flackwell Heath v Sutton Athletic (7.45)

Why they put the replay on the same night as England v Kosovo on TV is beyond me. Still, if you fancy some local football it’s the place to be! Good luck Heathens!!!

  • Sunday’s result:

    Aylesbury United 0 Walthamstow 3

Another defeat for a local side in the FA Cup completing a dismal week-end locally. Only Beaconsfield Town, Chesham United & Flackwell Heath (subject to a replay) representing the local area in the FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round.
