  • Sounds absolutely horrific

  • "Guys"

    "Milton Keynes"

    "Sol"

The standard of wind ups on here has dropped eh

  • Hopefully it’ll be empty when we have to play there.

  • By "great food" do you mean a selection of reconstituted meat products, with chips?

Other than that, the place sounds like a nightmare.

Just around the corner to where I live. Needless to say I doubt it will be getting my custom.

  • Is anything friendly in MK

  • The homeless people who camp out in the underpasses are generally friendly. And appear to be happier than those who pass by looking the other way.

But the OP is unbelievable assuming it is well intended. The place sounds awful and “about 15 mins to the ground” presumably means drive, which is like having an away friendly pub for us in Princes Risborough

  • 15 minutes would indeed be a drive.

  • MK sports bar and lounge that isn't in MK, maybe it's economically better for them to be in a different town... sure there were some locals at the old one in MK but you know they might come along for a freebie. :)

This post is so good it’s almost poetry.

  • I had a girlfriend in Northampton for a bit in the mid-90s and it coincided with being too skint to get my car going - so I had a long journey to see her on public transport via Aylesbury and then a change at Milton Keynes for the last leg to Northampton. Being a Saturday mid day the first time I did it when I got to MK I thught I'd have a couple of beers before carrying on my journey and was confused that there didn't actually seem to be a town centre with pubs dotted about - the whole place looked grotesque.

Nothing wrong with ‘guys’. I used to use it to wind up my even older ten-pin ‘colleagues’ but nowadays it trips off my tongue as easily as ‘mate’.
