Payback for last season? - Stanley at Home - Match 37 - Tues 12th March - Crowd Forecasts

Here is the link to the spreadsheet:

After my success in the Sunderland game I don't have to make the first prediction ...

Remember the rule - if we sell out - no more predictions that count. Also capacity looks like it is about 8800.

Comments

  • I believe going first is the new guarantee of a fixture win.

    Big game this but small crowd I fear. 4002 with 93 seeking excuse to support Livingston.

  • 4211 with 88 Stanleys

  • 3,932 with 68 accies.

  • 4008 with 106 from Accy

  • 4056 including 120 for Accrington

  • 4123 with 116.

  • 3871 with 86 away

  • 3950 including 125 supporting Stanley. Hope they rest on their Laurels after last season. Need to be Hardy with 5 degrees C and a stiff breeze forecast.

  • 4121 with 81 Accrington Stanley fans

  • 3,976 including 97 away

  • 3996 including 88 Accrington

  • 4123 with 91 Stanley

  • The reverse fixture on Tues 27th November attracted 1740 of which we provided a very creditable 190. All of us predicted a smaller Light and Dark Blue Army.

    I go 4005 with 71 of them supporting Accrington.

    To date:
    12 predictions so far

    Average for Total Crowd: 4030
    Average for 'Reds Army' 96

    With the numbers small this is a good game for which to make a prediction ....

  • 4099 with 94 facing a bloody long trip home (we hope with nothing to feel good about)

  • 4088 with 89 Stanley.

  • 4,109 with 76 Stanley fans.

  • 3,837 with 58 accy.

  • 3,942 including 95 Accrington fans regretting taking up the offer of a free Adams Park hotdog.

  • Slightly concerned that, according to Parklife, Stanley brought 341 fans last season but I think that was a Saturday. I fear tomorrow’s weather is going to make a big dent in the numbers attending (although I think the published figure includes all season ticket holders.

    Gareth’s influence may have a strong bearing. On Saturday we mainly played on the deck (and Sunderland were the hoofers). Similar tactics will be required tomorrow, especially if Alex leads the line.

  • 4213 with 113

  • 3890 with 99 please

  • 4022 total with 104 from Accrington.

  • 3883 with 88 from Accrington

  • 3961 (111 away)

  • 3897 with 106 Stanley

  • 3404 Chairboys plus 102 Stanleyonians. Would be interested to know how many wwfc season ticket holders opt out of this one but I guess that figure will remain forever unknown.

  • Given as 3,819 (84 Accrington)

    Actual attendances for the Accrington game:
    Total 3819
    Away 84

    Belated congratulations to @ryan_w_kirkby who was closest to the attendance at the game, missing only by 18, with the lowest prediction all but one.

    Honourable mentions for
    @DJWYC14 out by 52
    @bookertease out by 64
    @OxfordBlue out by 71
    @Aok84 out by 78

    Nine of us (and the average) missed by between 100 and 200, so there will some changes in the 'Tour de Season' Table later.

    For the away crowd - all of us were within 50 - @micra was overly concerned about last season's attendance by close to 10% of their home crowd, but still managed to only be out by 41.

    @DJWYC14 - a 2nd mention - was closest, just 2 out with 86.

    Updates for today's game soon. It's not yet raining in Ludlow!

  • Very gracious @railwaysteve and thank goodness you didn’t express that as a percentage!
    May I take this opportunity to congratulate @ryan_w_kirkby and to say that I hope he proves to be similarly accurate with today’s score prediction which I somewhat rudely commented on a little while ago.
