Chairboys away to 2nd Place: Barnsley away - Sat 16th Feb - Crowd Forecast

edited February 2019 in Football

Here is a link to the spreadsheet for game 33 of our League One Campaign.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/149SH5SdMAQkMX8_q03J22f5kk4O54IOfXO-DipNnRtQ/edit?usp=sharing

I go 12700 with 376 Chairpersons. Two big crowds in a row.

New revised small print:

No predictions count after 1 hour before kick off or after I post on the thread that the home tickets have sold out. (Not likely for this game - Oakwell holds over 23,000)

Changes are allowed if they keep the total prediction the same, and only change opposition fans into Wycombe fans.

Happy predicting and Up the Blues.

  • Thursday evening - 16 predictions so far.

Just arrived in Penistone: we are staying 16 minutes away from Barnsley by train, (in theory anyway), I have a couple of days off and decided to make a long weekend of it.
Very unseasonable weather for February. Blue skies and no wind chill. The wind turbines on the hilltops are moving at the speed of Dusty Miller's in Trumpton.

Bought a ticket at around 16:30 and we had sold around 250. Currently the crowd forecast is rising.

    Average for Total Crowd: 12152
Average for Light Dark Blue Army 405

Safe travel to those making a journey and Up the Blues.

  • 12899 including 499 Wycombe

  • 12000 incl 400 from Bucks

  • 12420 including 520 supporting the Chairboys

Today been a glorious day in the Barnsley Metropolitan District - as forecast - with portentous light and dark blue skies all day long. However, sunny intervals tomorrow rather than continuous sunshine. The BBC now says 12˚C for the game with little chance of rain. It certainly doesn't feel like mid February up north.

Our latest combined prediction after 19 of us have put fingers to keyboards is:

    Average for Total Crowd: 12197
Average for Light Dark Blue Army 416

The average forecasts are still rising - could be my fault. Up the Blues.

  • 12,204 with 425 being from south of the Watford Gap

  • 12,164 including 411 Chairboys & Chairgirls.

  • 12012 including 369 from Wycombe.

  • 11,432 with 442 Wanderers present

  • I am shortly to set off from Penistone - so final update - last predictions to count in about an hour.

    Average for Total Crowd: 12155
Average for Light Dark Blue Army 415
