Sky
Felt like we needed a dedicated thread for the people who insist on paying Sky money and then moaning about the shit they get in return when they could easily be giving that money to the club and getting Phil on commentary and then having no need to clog up every single match day thread moaning about how shit the Sky service that they don’t need to pay for is.
So here you go, moan away!

Yes there are indeed borderline illegal ways of doing that and not paying for Sky.
In fairness, if people already have Sky they're getting the crap service thrown in
Who doesn't like to hear their players' names mispronounced? I remember the days when 'Joe Jacobson' had about fifteen syllables.
I like to live a legal life and watch it on Sky and synch in with Wanderers TV audio (easy to co-ordinate at kick off). Always quality with Phil on and his co-hosts (especially Phil J)
I sometimes watch the game on illegal channels where, once you've deleted the ten or so pop-ups from porn websites, allows you access to the coverage for free. Sometimes there's even sound to go along with the picture and it's usually possible to watch the entire game without the FA finding out and having the entire website closed down.
I could just pay to watch but where's the fun in that?
Sky+ via Now is rubbish but I enjoyed the Man City game then the Liverpool game on top for part of the one day pass. Good picture and commentary. Premier League footie is different gravy. Is any of that on Wanderers tv?
I use Now TV and it's always worked and I've had no problems so far. Am I in the right place?
Sky Sports are bound to use inexperienced commentators to cover EFL games. How else are they going to learn? With the exception of 'their heads have dropped' being repeated I didn't mind the commentary yesterday. I suspect they are running a commentary 'factory' with very little investment in research for the presenter hence why a lot of the 'facts' are very thin on the ground. A simple 'former <insert name of team> player' being about as deep as they go in terms of player background, and that one 'stat' being the go to for all their presenters. It provides match coverage, I prefer the club's own coverage if I watch on Vipienne of course and wish Sky would match that quality, but that's never going to happen.
No way would I use a FireStick. Not because I am a law-abiding citizen but quite simply why are you putting a device on your network that compromises your security so much? You have bought it from a criminal (by definition) who bought it from another criminal who is not interested in copyright but is very interested in your bank details and browsing history.
Thinking of doing that myself, but not sure how to get decent audio quality when watch Sky Glass TV. Sound from an iPad won’t be good for family listening in the room
some elaborate speaker setup may be on the cards.
I recommend a month pass. Think it's about £26, so much better value. Best timed for when we have a few aways in there.
Love the idea of this thread. Anyone else notice the camerman might have had a few too many over Christmas? At a couple of points in the match I thought I was watching Cloverfield.
Definitely wobbly in places
Thought that was me tbh
I'm also wobbly in places.
Mostly pubs.
Best tip for NowTV monthly passes is having a couple of email addresses registered to them, and you will almost always get cheaper offers sent your way. Swap between the two whenever you get a deal emailed to you.
Or just take up the £26 for 6 month deal which is only bettered by the £20 deal I blagged via some insider's code years back. Don't think you can get on that now. But £26 is good.
I understand it went up recently to £28 a month.
I've examined your claim and not sure I can see the evidence for this.

You can get some really good deals by going to Sky cancellations and asking to leave.
I’m in the middle of £20/mth Sky sports and £25/mth TNT 18 month deal
Commentator seemed to want Exeter to win this, banging on about their unbeaten run that stretched back deep into . ..mid December.
Watching the darts on Sky.
I could beat Luke Littler blindfolded. Mostly because you have to be over 18 to play darts in my local.
To update one of the greatest lines in sport
"When Alexander of Macedonia was 33, he cried salt tears because there were no more worlds to conquer … Luke Littler's only 17."
Glad I wasn’t the only one to notice that. Banged on about it multiple times.
