@Wendoverman, Thompson played like a man possessed in his defensive duties, clearly wanting to impress the manager, and giving his best performance so far. He said after, he prefers midfield but is happy to fit in.
Ahh @marlowchair if only! Have thought about moving back so if anyone knows of an opening in Facility Management in the vicinity..."Hit me up on WhatsApp" as the saying goes! Well, PM me at least!)
I'm not there but that first half back five (assuming that's what it is) of Freeman and Harriman on the wings and Stewart, El-Abd and JJ central looks the first choice combination to me at the moment.

Does look like iFollow may be clamping down on logging into other teams. Either that or it's just broken again!
The usual 4-3-3 first half, with Adeloye and Freeman playing the 'wide forward' roles either side of Bayo.
4-4-2 diamond 2nd half with Gape sitting and Saunders playing in behind a front two of Tyson and CMS. Thompson and O'Nien picking up the scraps in midfield. Didn't seem to click as much as the tried and tested 1st half formation did.
I like the way we are talking about Adeloye as though he is already signed, because on the strength of the two halves I’ve seen he should be. Don’t think his goal was off side either.
Totally agree @Croider. Played a lot of neat football first half with Tomi Adeloye showing good potential on the right (and, indeed, after swapping wings with the impressive Nick Freeman, making a terrific block in the box at one point).
Second half, Brentford dominant, especially for the last 20 minutes after they replaced all their outfield players. Long balls to the widely separated CMS and Tys tending to be gobbled up by Brentford defenders, rendering both strikers largely ineffective. Charlie Fox and his central defensive partner both impressed me. Sido looked out of sorts. I don’t think he enjoys playing left back.
Luke O’Nien played the whole 90 minutes and deservedly got Man of the Match although Rocky Allsop was Man of the Second Half.
From the article below it looks like he'd still be with the Pools but due to some dodgy tranfer deals they had a transfer ban imposed, preventing them from renewing existing contracts.
Jones the Moan complaining Luton game at Chesham pitch condition in their 5-1 win yesterday. ‘lucky to get away without injury’. Remember a few years back our pre season at Burnham being cancelled on the night due to bone hard pitch. Hope club are checking state of Chesham over the W/e.
Hasn't this clown noticed the country's suffering a drought. Whilst money bags Luton have the resources to get their pitch in tip top condition, Chesham don't.
They were 1-0 down for a long period and only racked up the goals in the last 15 mins as Chesham tired.
Serious point about the Chesham pitch though with our small squad we don’t need any pre season major injuries.

Thanks @bookertease ! I can't wait to meet the new Chairgirl.

@Shev Fantastic news, hope all goes well.
Thanks @Jonny_King!
thanks @Steve_Peart optimistic news.
Any chance of a live stream tonight? The West Ham stream was a bit of a fiasco!
it's a shame you can't be here Nors as it's a nice day and the pitch is looking mint.
A few staff in the caledonian suite wouldn't hurt though!
Kashket, PCH and Charles miss out with ‘minor knocks.’

Is there anywhere one can watch the game or listen to comms?
Three triallists remain from Saturday's five. The triallist striker starts and the two CB's are on the bench.

@aloysius Looked like four at the back to me in both halves.

Looks a bit deja vu...
How did we do last year in the friendlies?

God wants his team to get crocked before the start of the season obviously...
Jorge Grant is a very good player. Much as I hate to say it Luton might be far better than I would like next season.

Saunders and Thompson are ‘rested’ Charles still injured.
1-0 down.
2 nil down now....jeez and i was optimistic about the season!
It's. A. Friendly.
